Walk the Wall  走長城  2022

Hong Kong

Join the Global Movement to Give Life and End Abandonment

Walk the Wall is a global movement that brings people together each year to raise money for the most vulnerable children in China.  Funds from the Walk provide care and services to children with disabilities who have experienced abandonment, and families who are struggling to raise children with disabilities.

Since 2007, supporters around the world have walked thousands of kilometres, figuratively covering the Great Wall of China’s 21,196 km many times over.  When you ask family and friends to donate or walk with you, each dollar you raise will help children and young adults in China overcome the many challenges they face.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: 21 Apr 2022

As the government has relaxed the social distancing restrictions to allow groups of four in public, ICCHK is excited to announce the resumption of Walk The Wall 2022!

For Option 1, Walk On Your Own, you can even pick any sport you enjoy to advocate and fundraise for the children in need, including hiking, running, cycling, swimming, kayaking, paddling, etc.! Simply sign up, ask people to support your campaign, and go enjoy your sport!

Thank you to all who have already participated in this year’s Walk The Wall during this difficult time and made a difference by helping ICC provide our children 24hr care, therapy, special education, life skills and vocational training, and much more!

About Us

ICC was founded in 1993 by David Gotts after he saw first-hand the suffering of Chinese children with disabilities, who had been abandoned and left without hope in desperate conditions. In the beginning, ICC sent Short-Term Teams to China to provide care in government welfare centres. Later, we established permanent locations which provide full-time family-style care for children in Changsha and Hengyang in Hunan Province.

Today, ICC has offices in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. If you want to know more about ICC, please visit our website.
